Help Desk/Junior Technician (Coral Springs)

Hyperride Technologies provides Outsourced IT Services for small and medium businesses in South Florida. We have been in business for 13 years and our office is located in Coral Springs. We are looking for an individual who loves technology and has a strong aptitude for it, and is interested in working in a very dynamic atmosphere.

We are a small, but growing company, so you would have a great opportunity to be hands on with diverse tasks, including:

  • Remote Help Desk support for customers
  • Troubleshooting various desktop applications
  • Occasional onsite resolution at customer premises
  • Working with our ticketing and monitoring software to create detailed work logs and technical documentation
  • Close contact and open communication with clients and support teams
  • Working with our monitoring software to coordinate service requests and identify and resolve issues before downtime occurs
  • Though in the support department, will be pulled into projects as resource when needed

We are looking for a person who has the ability to support the human and technical aspects of technology. Our customers are the most important part of our company, and we strive daily to make them happy. We need a well-rounded person who is responsible, accountable and professional. You need to be able to effectively work in a team environment, have a strong technical aptitude and be very responsive to clients’ needs.

The requirements for this position are as follows:

  • The capacity to learn existing and emerging technologies
  • Superior organizational, communication, problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Understanding of Small Business networks
  • The ability to install, upgrade, repair, move, and replace desktops, laptops and peripherals
  • Strong experience troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, systems and network issues
  • The ability to provide technical support and problem resolution for unfamiliar software and hardware
  • The drive to take on new challenges and tasks without waiting to be told what to do next
  • Typing speeds of 45 words per minute or higher
  • Great communication skills
  • Great customer service skills
  • Ability to get to client sites (must own your own vehicle)

From a more technical perspective, at least a basic knowledge of the following items is required, and more education around these items will be required on the job. Certifications are not required, but will be looked upon favorably.

  • Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7
  • Office 2003 and Office 2007
  • Standard Networking Configurations
  • LAN/WAN/VPN and Firewall basics
  • Windows Mobile Devices
  • Small Business Server 2003 and 2008
  • Windows Server 2003 and 2008 based networks, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, IIS, RRAS, and Exchange
  • Exchange Server 2003 and 2007
  • Familiarity with Autotask or other ticketing systems
